Very excited to launch my first blog, along with starting a hard core new exercise routine with high hopes of better fitness, better health, and a head start on training for the Wildflower Triathlon this May. Okay, ANY routine exercise program would be a step up from what I am doing now, but I am, possibly quite foolishly, jumping in with both feet and committing to 90 days of pure burn and booty kicking with P90X. Hard core. 60-90 minutes of intense workouts daily plus following their nutrition guidelines. We'll see.
I am not entering this journey alone, however. My husband was the instigator and will absolutely be sweating right along side me. I say "absolutely" with emphasis, as he has suddenly shown signs of amnesia in regards to agreeing to do this and encouraging purchase of the program. Whatever. I know where he lives and sleeps. Along with my hubby, 2 great girlfriends of mine have begged and pleaded to adventure with us as we follow this daunting road to better health. (Okay, no begging and pleading, just jumping on board the boot camp bus with us and adding fun and even more accountability.)
We just ordered the P90X "program" and look forward to receiving all 13 DVDs, nutrition guides, and workout calendar of it in the next day or two. I'm hoping for some dramatic differences in Before and After photos and stats. Believe it or not, I am excited to begin. In my head, I will cheerfully wake up at 5 every morning and actually keep pace for the entire workouts right from the start. Reality will likely hit me pretty hard... Stay tuned.
